Jon brings decades of experience in advanced riding, rider coaching and motorcycle assessment. A former Police Class 1 Advanced Motorcyclist and Police Class 1 Advanced Car Driver, he later served as an IAM Staff Examiner for 13 years, assessing and approving prospective Examiners, conducting National Observer and Masters tests, and helping maintain the highest standards of advanced rider assessment. He also serves as a motorcycle examiner for RoSPA.

Jon has coached riders throughout the UK and internationally. He instructed at the world-renowned Nürburgring, coached with Rapid Training on both road and track, and played a key role in introducing advanced motorcycle training to Türkiye, where he helped establish the country's first official IAM motorcycle group.

An accomplished motorcycle racer, Jon has won multiple championships and set new race record at Brands Hatch. His competitive success, combined with extensive motorcycle travel throughout Europe, Türkiye, Russia, the United States and New Zealand, gives him a depth of riding experience that few coaches can match.
