Introduction to Advanced Motorcycle Riding

Course Overview

This session is a practical introduction to advanced motorcycle riding, focused on real-world skills used by experienced riders. Delivered as a 4-hour on-road session, it’s designed to help you quickly build confidence and understand your current riding ability.

You’ll be introduced to key advanced riding principles, with guidance tailored to the areas you want to improve most. The techniques are aligned with Motorcycle Roadcraft: The Police Rider’s Handbook, giving you a solid foundation built on proven, professional methods.

The session begins with an initial ride assessment, followed by coached riding using the System of Motorcycle Control. Everything is adapted to your pace, focusing on what will make the biggest difference to your confidence, control and safety.

It’s a great starting point if you don’t ride regularly, have recently passed your test, or want to feel more confident on the road. It’s also ideal if you’re thinking about progressing to more advanced riding.
