Pre-Programme Requirements

RoadChamp Level 1 is designed for riders who are new to advanced motorcycle training. Applicants must hold a full UK motorcycle licence and have held their licence for a minimum of six months.

Programme Summary

Level 1 deals with the groundwork - introducing, developing and embedding the fundamental principles of advanced techniques, altering habits and shaping attitudes to take your skills to the next level. It is often the case, if you get the initial technique right the rest should fall into place.

After an initial assessment of your riding skill level, where relevant, the following areas will be covered during the course.

• Theory, to introduce advance riding techniques.

• Observe, identify, manage hazards and plan, for safe progress.

• Apply cornering principles confidently and safely.

• Apply overtaking principles confidently and safely.

• Control your machine with accuracy and ease, in various situations.

• Evaluate your progress and plan for the kind of rider you want to become.
